Semperit AG Holding is one of the oldest established industrial companies in Europe and its earliest beginnings date back to 1824.

Today, the enterprise engages in business activities in its four divisions Sempermed (surgical gloves, examination gloves and industrial gloves), Semperflex (hydraulic hoses, industrial hoses, elastomer sheeting), Semperform (molded goods for construction and industry, profiles, handrails and special products), Sempertrans (conveyer belts).

It has eleven production facilities located in Europe, Asia and the U.S. Majority owner and long-term core shareholder is B & C Industrieholding that holds 54.18% of shares (11,144,917 shares). The remaining shares are in free float. The company has been listed on the Viennese Stock Exchange since 1890 and is also listed on the German stock exchanges in Frankfurt, Berlin-Bremen and Stuttgart.

In 2010, sales of EUR 689 million were generated with 7,008 employees (average in 2010).
